We are pleased to inform all candidates who sat for the just concluded 2022 May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)) that their results have been released and they can now check online. This announcement was made by the Acting Head of Public Affairs of the West African Examination Council (WAEC), Mrs. Moyosoal Adesina who disclosed that the Head of National Office (HNO), Mr. Patrick Areghan announced the release of results of May/June 2022 WASSCE on Monday, Yaba headquarters of the body.

Statistically speaking, Areghan said in May 2022 that out of 1.6million candidates who sat for the examination, 800,055 are males, comprising (49.76%) while 800,724 are females, comprising (50.24%).

The school examination was taken by 1, 607, 985 school candidates in 20,221 schools nationwide and in three West African countries.

The HNO further stated that the candidates were examined in 76 subjects, made up of 197 papers. That about 30,000 practicing senior teachers, nominated by various Ministries of Education participated as supervisors in the examination.

How to check your WAEC Results online.

Checking WAEC results this days is as simple as ABC. You can check your waec result in two simple ways. Either you make use of the internet or by simply sending sms.

Below are steps you should take or follow to check your 2022 WAEC result online.

Note: You don’t need to purchase any scratch card/pin to access your result. Candidates are to check the Smart Identity Card used during the conduct of the examination for their Result Checker PIN and Serial Number.

  1. Go to WAEC 2022 result checking portal at https://www.waecdirect.org.
  2. Enter your WAEC Examination Number in the required column.
  3. Select your Examination Year i.e. 2022.
  4. Select your Examination Type i.e SCHOOL CANDIDATE RESULT.
  5. Enter the Card Serial Number.
  6. Enter the Card PIN.
  7. Finally, click “SUBMIT” button to get your 2022 WAEC Result.

Caution: Make sure you adhere strictly to the outlined format above. There should be no space in the message.
